They say cleanliness is only next to godliness. As a child, I was nurtured to adore cleanliness. It is one of the instructions that is always repeated all over again. And naturally, clean spaces are always inviting. They beckon you to come and stay. Have you ever cleaned a house and felt unworthy of entering it because you will make it dirty again? Yet it is also human that at times we fail to bring to ourselves the things we dearly want.  That is where we at Yonja come in. We come into your usually busy lives to help you put “the house to order”. Yonja Multipurpose liquid detergent helps to ease your cleaning, leaving your space sparkling clean.

Origin of Yonja
Yonja was birthed when I was referred by one of my former bosses to work with a particular company given my academic background in chemical engineering. It’s from there that I picked interest in the various cleaning products and cosmetics, a couple of which I got trained in. I later decided to start making liquid soap. At first, it was for pleasure and I freely gave out liquid soap to my neighbors, friends and relatives. This to me was a season of experimenting until I decided that I wanted to make money from my new skill.
I started out with producing one and five litre Jerry cans of Yonja and have now expanded to producing 10 litres and 20 litres. The prices are as follows-one litre- 2000 ugx, five litres – ugx 10,000, ten litres –ugx 20,000 and twenty litre -32,000 litre. We are also working on producing Yonja Shower Gel and Yonja hand wash soon.

Meaning of Yonja
When you listen to yourself speak, you realize the word Yonja has an onomatopoeic reference to its literal version; to clean. And as thus, like they say, the apple doesn`t fall far from the tree. Yonja is simply all about cleaning; to clean and make clean. The name was born out of the desire to be unique with a global goal of cleaning and being clean.
2020 plans
Yonja is a young brand with intentions of growth. Hopefully into a household brand that goes on to live in every household. The dream is that big. However, we had to start somewhere and that is exactly what we are doing; creating cleaning detergent and making it available for consumption. To this we are casting our net even further, by training others on how to make simple detergents like liquid soap in March.
However, we are also tirelessly working to make our new products readily available on the market. Be on the lookout for our shower gel and hand wash all branded with the boldness that is the Yonja logo.

Where can the products be found?
The products are produced in Lugala along Philip Morris road and one can place an order of any volume via a call on 0781838040/0703211939 and the order can be picked or delivered.

Royal Sisterhood 2019: Harnessing Influence

This year’s Women`s day was special to me for a number of reasons. One reason was – Royal sisterhood. I had always wanted to attend the Royal sisterhood gathering held at Worship Harvest Naalya but never got around to it. This year I got to be apart, thanks to a friend who decided to sponsor me even though I had put it in my budget😂😂. Surely God was speaking, right or right??!!

This year`s theme was,“Harnessing Influence’’ and the speakers did the theme justice right from Cindy Adong who talked abit about skin care to Eunice Adubango ,Beatrice Byemanzi and lastly Moses Mukisa. There was soothing music from Charlene and her crew. This gurl can siiiinnnnngggggggg y’all.

Anyway, since many people were asking for snippets of what was shared, this is me laboring to share a 3 hour event into a few words.

Cindy Adong a make- up artist emphasized the need to invest in good skin care products and make up products.

Eunice Adubango shared her story and one quote stood out for me

“You are the light of the world. When light is switched it asserts itself ‘’ –For some reason the scripture reference of this quote made me think hard on it. When I walk into my room and turn on the light,it doesn`t light just a few areas of the room,it asserts itself everywhere, unashamed.

Beatrice Byemanzi

Bee 3 kicked off her session with asking ladies for the meaning of harnessing .The answer we settled for was harnessing means to make use of. In our context, making use of your influence.

Make use of your influence but remember it starts from within. You can`t add new wine to old wine skins, they will burst. Why? Because they don`t have the capacity for the new one. In the same way, you need to shade off the old thinking patterns, the old rhythms of your life and create new ones that will help you make use of your influence. Stop playing small, the world needs to hear your voice. (Scripture reference Luke 6:36-39)

Practical exercises from Bee3 that you can do at home.

Do you think you have influence over anyone?, How far have you seen yourself go with your influence?, 5 categories of people you have influence over

Mosze`s sharing was titled Honey we are expecting-Luke 1:39-45

He left us with questions to ponder on during the session and for life;

1.Do you know the value of what you`re carrying? (Luke 1:42-45)

Many times we never know the value of what we are carrying and I am a culprit,I get torn between knowing and forgetting and people always jolt me out of the not knowing phase. Mosze admonished us to be super encouragers, call out greatness in others.

2.Are you choosing the right environment for your baby?

When you know the value of what you`re carrying, you choose you`re environment carefully. Find people of like minds, people who have been where you want to go, People who cheer your dream on.

3.Have you made the decision to carry your baby to full term?

There was no doubt people were stirred up to think practically about harnessing their potential in whatever fields of work and stages of life they are at.

PS: Take note of the scriptures and go back to your room and eat them .Answer the questions embedded in this article not for me but for yourself and go ahead and harness your influence.

Who is teaching you responsibility?

Dear boys 2 men,

Who is teaching you responsibility?

Who is teaching you how to treat the ladies in your lives?
Who is teaching you how to behave on dates? (I am not talking about opening car doors here.if you do it, awesome,if you don’t,it’s OK)
Who is teaching you how to disagree but not beat up that woman in your life?

Who is teaching you how to go about proposals?
Who is teaching you how to be a present friend, husband, father, grandfather?
who is teaching you the basics of manhood?
Who are you having your manhood conversations with?

Who are you vulnerable with?(I know in our society, you’ve been told to man up. “abasajja tebakaba,” but that’s not even scriptural, Jesus wept openly)
Who are you showing your nakedness?Who is walking the marriage journey with you?Who is teaching you responsibility?

Who is teaching you how to protect your “Chic, kyana” physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and financially?
Who is teaching you not to have premarital sex to prove your manhood?

Who is teaching you parenting?some of you get kids while at campus, after campus and there in between and have no idea where to start from hence ,choosing irresponsibility.perhaps if you knew better, you would do better.perhaps.

Who is sharpening you? ``As iron sharpens iron,So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17 (NKJV)

Who is affirming you? Who is speaking wisdom to you?

Who is praying with and for you?

Who is rebuking you?

Tell me,Who is teaching you?

Who is holding your hand and showing you the way to go?

Who is teaching you how to lead and be led?

Who is teaching you responsibility in every form?
