Digging how at the end of the day, LOVE WINS!”
Uncertain but relieved. Good but not too good but not bad at the same time. Nonchalant and somber but a bit cool headed and almost almost almost happy but constantly hindered by the fear of the unknown.
Thinking about how Jesus is the bread of life and digging the paradox therein. Bread is what I aspire for and yet bread is what I achieve as the fruit of my toil and thinking how Jesus is who I oughta aspire for and yet Jesus is still who I will be rewarded with! Following that thought however, why do I worry then? Also, does it not say that perfect love is inversely proportional to fear? So, what am I so afraid of then? But nice as it is to know, knowing isn’t all it takes!
Broken a little. By biting more hope than I could chew and choking on the realization…

My 2 cents
Its trendy setting new years resolutions or is it??Radio stations have been buzzing with this same topic since the start of the new year with some people saying its useless and others testifying of its importance.
Thanks to Uganda blogging community(http://ugbloc.com/new-year-new-you/ )I get to pen my thoughts on the hottest topic before the Kadarshians or Kanye trend all over again.
Resolutions refer to firm decisions to do or not do something and the synonyms of this very word are intention, resolve, firm, aim and plan.
Before last year, I thought setting resolutions was a waste of time because I never remembered any that I set by the second month .This always started my frustration journey with no compass.
However, last year I was part of a mentoring program( NGMP )where one of the books we had to read was Goal setting 101 by Gary Ryan Blair and this changed my perspective on setting resolutions and goals. See how;
- Gary Ryan Blair believes in setting goals in the 10 crucial life dimensions; family, health, finance, household, spiritual, recreation, career, personal, community and friends. This strategy gave my life balance and priority since the 10 dimensions cover what we live for on a daily basis, what we spend our money and time on.
- For resolutions or goals to be achieved , they must be SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, time bound). SMART goals reveal your resolve ,plan, intention of achieving certain things in your life. For example I set short term goals ,where I plan for each month instead of an entire year. With this, I grow with my goals and realistically keep tabs on them.
- I constantly cross check in my diary to see how far I have gone in the achievement academy. This is what I call self evaluation, where I hold myself accountable because I am responsible for my set goals. At the end of January,I will evaluate myself based on goals set and I find out what was achieved and what wasn’t, the ones I didn’t achieve I push them to February as I reset new goals for the month.
- Commit your plans to God and He will establish them as quoted in Proverbs 16:3.This old adage will never go out of season.
I did this last year and it worked for me and this year the cycle continues with a renewed strength ,perspective and wisdom.
Make 2017 count because you are responsible for your growth and success.
#happy new year

When God Breathed
In a cradle that night in the middle of Bethlehem lay a baby whom death could identify as its greatest threat. Of all men born since Cain and Able, the mere birth of Christ inflicted a blow on death that would finally epitomize at the Cross. Surely every time Mary kissed that baby`s face, she kissed the face of God.
Every mind should remember that the heart of Christmas is symbolic of the birth of a relationship sealed at resurrection; we should treasure the night when “God was born”.
At the very heart of Christmas lies the pinnacle of the Christian faith, the “Birth of God”. While many celebrate the season with exchange of gift and splendor, perhaps their thoughts sway from the true meaning of Christmas and the mind of God behind it. God being Spirit doesn’t just consist of life, He is life. A man is considered alive when he draws breath, but God gives life, there is no external source of life outside Him.
The hour the Savior was born was the moment that all three realms (Heaven, Earth and the World below- Phil 2:10) felt a significant shift in time. It stood out because it was the hour that God breathed. What an honor to oxygen!!! We often speak of a breath of fresh air, but that night air received freshness. Of all the men that had ever drawn breath, one worthy of doing…

You need him/her
As the week winds down and October too runs ahead to call up November to ready herself….that`s true friendship, when friends look out for one another.
The warmth in my heart is undeniable as I write this post, I love how my mind flows with my fingers when writing commences. My fingers type out the mind.“That’s true friendship.’’ The former knows what the latter is capable of.
My besties Vicks and Mapeti know what I am capable of especially when it comes to writing and fashion. We have know each other for a number of years now and they know what opportunities look like me. Simply because we have had discussions on everything and nothing while in Posh, over fries, jinja adventures ,chat on which fashion bloggers to follow..Eh!! list is endless. Vicks told me about a writing gig for an online blog-zine Elle Afrique where I have become a contributing writer (http://elleafrique.com/value-me/).
We all need that one friend (or more) who knows what we are all about and when they see opportunity dressed in any form, they know it belongs to us.
You need him/her
Do your friends know what you are good at? Do they support you while at it because they see how much it has consumed you? As you let your friends know where your heading in life; find out there they are heading too. Know their dreams and encourage them to reach for them on a daily basis. When you find opportunities that they can benefit from, inform them.
Our friends are our next step to our big breakthrough, they have networks that you might never tap into however that is why they are their…right?hehe
In short, share your dreams with your friends because they unconsciously look out for you when they see an opportunity that will benefit you. They push you towards achieving your dreams, when you don`t think you can do it.
You need him/her
Worship experience
I will bless the Lord, Bless the Lord at all times#worship night @ BAYC16
I bless God every chance I get; my lungs expand with his praise.2I live and breathe God; if things aren’t going well, hear this and be happy:3Join me in spreading the news; together let’s get the word out.4God met me more than halfway, he freed me from my anxious fears.5Look at him; give him your warmest smile. Never hide your feelings from him.6When I was desperate, I called out, and God got me out of a tight spot.7God’s angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we pray.8Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see – how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him.9Worship God if you want the best; worship opens doors to all his goodness.Psalm 34:1-9 (MSG)
Worship experience is the theme throughout the…

My A-u-g-u-s-t
August has had a snail pace and that alone has worked me . Just 31 days of highs and major lows that I had no control over. I am glad to say , I made it through with God, No doubt.*yaaaay*
A few lessons learnt from my August which I will be sure to carry into my September. I love personalizing my months.
#1.Beholding God and this simply means, choose to focus on Him alone like the psalmist in psalm 121 .
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills-from whence comes my help
My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.’’
Let your mind ,body and soul behold everything God and then your situation is powerless because of who you believe in.Let your focus be on the King because He still has one more move and His plans for you are perfect.
See God in your every day and that will allow you behold Him and not lack, sickness, loss………………..
#2.New isn`t so bad after all.
I needed a new playlist of Gospel music so I took to the internet and I fell on a song by Nathaniel Bassey of the popular hit song ,“Imela”. The new song I found is Onise Iyanu which means God of awesome wonders which he did with Micah Stampley a gospel legend.
I can`t get enough of this song and my old playlist is now forgotten at least for a month as I can sing all songs even in my sleep.
Try out something new in September ie skills, songs, movies, books to read, adventure plans, new restaurants….just try something new, you just might enjoy it.
#3.Old isn`t so bad either
I reread Redeeming love by Francine Rivers and boy this novel is a classic , I first read it in my second year at Campus courtesy of a beautiful soul and sister-Samantha . When I read it the second time , it was timely. God reminded me of His love for me in spite of what I do and will ever do. He loves me immensely and with no expectations. He keeps on looking out for me even when like Angel Hosea I go back to my old ways and shun His perfect love.
Gist of this is, go through some of your old books ,notes made in church or from a conference and see what you find.
So I journey into September with the confidence that, I am loved immensely by a good, good Father.
Have a fun filled September and follow your dreams, achieve those goals; the year just got better.
Remember your past is a prophecy for your future. “If He did it before, He will do it again. Same God right now, same God back then.”(Another song on my playlist by Tye Tribett)
Share with me some lessons from your August.
Cultural night:Beauty in ddifference
Culture is worth of celebration. BAYC here i come.
Culture is a part of society and exists in all spheres of life; fashion, education, religion and faith, business.
Each year at BAY C, there is a night dedicated to celebrating the cultural heritage of Uganda and Africa at large. Culture reminds us of our heritage something that God has given us and we are identified by.
Each group gets to act out a play all based on the theme for the conference and this year, the theme is the standard. Participants get creative and innovative as the skits, poems and cultural songs all center around the theme. Gifts and talents are nurtured on this night as script writers take to writing the play and then poets take on poetry sessions and get people to do magnificent spoken word in luganda, acholi, langi, runyankole, etc.
The night is crowned with a fashion show that majorly showcases traditional wear from all cultures across…

What is BAY C?
An amazing opportunity for young people to get to know the Lord. #BAYC16
Bugolobi Annual Youth Conference ( BAY C) is a conference that brings together youths and youth ministry leaders from Parishes and Churches in different Dioceses in the Church of Uganda and other Provinces. Previous BAYCs have hosted participants from as many as 10 Anglican Communion Provinces. The broad objective of the Conference is to “Impact, Equip and Commission Young People as Agents of Change in Communities.”
There is an emerging global youth culture which is bringing the Youths to think alike regardless of where they are located in the world. We have found BAY C a great time and opportunity for youths to gather together and learn from each other’s experiences, explore and be equipped in ways of influencing this global youth culture for God’s Kingdom, well-being of society and good of humanity as well as building cross-cultural friendships.
The 15th Bugolobi Annual Youth Conference (BAY C 2016) is…
