Taking Stock Three

I get so excited when a month comes to its end and a new one begins. I love new beginnings. They always fill me with HOPE and you know what the bible says,Hope does not disappoint. Even with the ongoing pandemic,I`m still hopeful about April being a great month.

Take stock with me today and I challenge you to do this on a daily or weekly basis. This will keep you productive in this lockdown phase.

Let’s dive in….

Making: Time to pray and pray some more, read and catch up on series.

Eating: healthier meals because we have health goals to achieve. The pandemic is no excuse to eat whatever.

Drinking: water and tea.

Reading: Buy the Future: Learning to Negotiate For a Future Better than Your Present by Mensa Otabil. This read has been enlightening and had me writing down nuggets for future use. What was on your March read list?

Wanting: Stability in Uganda and the world at large.

Playing: music,I`m proud to say this Corona situation has me creating playlists for everything.

Wasting: no time complaining about the Corona virus and its effects on Uganda.

Creating: future content,this sounds like the content is for 2024.LOL!!

Wishing: for 2020 to overwhelm me with money, books, travel and every good thing.

Wondering: how April will look like.

Hoping: for good news.

Marveling: at people’s perceptions in times of crisis.

Smelling: a calmness in the neighborhood;no one is in a rush to do anything,not even the air we are breathing.

Wearing: my hair in bitutwa aka knots because the lockdown happened before I visited the salon.

Following: people who bring me joy and happiness on social media.

Noticing: how God is at work.

Knowing: that this too shall pass.

Bookmarking: nothing in particular.

Feeling: rested and happy.

Taking Stock Two

Making: Time to love people practically. I am part of a ladies mentoring programme and in February, our mentor challenged us to show love practically to people. The stories were amazing.

Eating: healthier meals because we have health goals to achieve.

Drinking: millet porridge. Do we drink porridge or we eat it?

Reading: Buy the Future: Learning to Negotiate For a Future Better than Your Present by Mensa Otabil (March read). My February reads included Kintu by Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi and Good Morning, Holy Spirit by Benny Hinn.

Wanting: Money to fall on me because I`m a money magnet.

Playing: music because music is good for the soul. I can`t stress that enough.

Wasting: no time with and on certain people.

Creating: content about products and services I have used before.

Wishing: for 2020 to overwhelm me with money, books, travel and every good thing.

Wondering: about my March.

Hoping: for good news.

Marveling: at how unique God has made us. A friend recently told me what he does and I was amazed at his brilliance. God has created each one of us for a unique purpose.

Smelling: a set up because I see the signs.

Wearing: my hair out.

Following: God`s leading or at least trying.

Noticing: how God is opening doors for me.

Knowing: that God was good to me in February especially amidst the storms.

Taking Stock One

Making: Time to pray and read fiction books by African writers.

Eating: avocado. I always have an excuse to eat avocado.

Drinking: Tea with ginger and cinnamon

Reading: Kintu by Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi. One of my  friends said, this book is good because Jennifer knows how to gossip properly,like a Ugandan. She is simply brilliant and touches on key issues in the book. Read it when you can this year.

Wanting:more of God. Like  Sinach said in her song,More of You,' The more I know You is the more I want to know you,Jesus More of You....``

Playing:music because it`s good for the soul.Boom play allows me to create my own playlists. How cool is that?

Wasting:no time.

Creating: 2020 blog content .

Wishing: for 2020 to overwhelm me with money, books, travel and every good thing.

Wondering: about the plan for the Ugandan weather-its undecided lately.

Hoping:for good news.

Marveling: at authors who are brilliant writers.

Smelling: hopes and dreams.

Wearing: my hair in a protective style and warm clothing everywhere because Ugandan weather is here to rain,lol!!

Following: God`s leading or at least trying.

Noticing: how by doing something daily, a habit is formed.

Knowing: that I have a clean slate to make new memories on.

Taking Stock 13

November was a good month.I felt exhilarated from day one and by the last week,I was jittery. I had forgotten ,all about my stock taking series because my queen mother was unwell ,and that was all I could think about. Now that,we are well and back home,I can tell you all about my November.

Making: Plans. I’m a planner to the dot and I love it.

Eating: nothing special in particular.

Drinking: lots of rosemary tea.

Taking Stock Seven

Making: more time for my thoughts

Eating: All manner of things but I tried out this yogurt at Yogusserie two days ago and I loved it.

Drinking: Chai mukalu with no sugar. Real mukalu😂 because I like it like that.

Reading: All Louise Bay novels. Though now that March is here, I am getting off this adrenaline rush.

Wanting:To attend Royal sisterhood at Worship Harvest Naalya. Some of the speakers are Moses Mukisa, Beatrice Byemanzi & wait for it, Eunice Adubango.

Playing: wide as the sky, a song by Matt Redman

Wasting: no time in pity parties.

Creating:content that makes me happy

Wishing: for Lebanese food. As I read I am Mathob, she spoke of Lebanese food as being so delicious and how every must try it out. Being a foodie , I put it on my to do list(recommend places in Ug)

Enjoying: reading books more than ever

Wondering: about Zambia. I want to go there for no reason.

Loving:my reading momentum. I have read over 10 books this month alone
